WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO GET YOUR HIGH SCHOOL AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAM ATTS CERTIFIED FOR CALIFORNIA & EETC CERTIFIED.

Presenters - George Hritze and John Chocholak
Automotive Technician Training Standards (ATTS) is a program managed by the California Automotive Business Coalition (CalABC). It was established by a group of representatives from the automotive service and repair industry and automotive technology educators representing the entire state of California. The mission of the ATTS program is certifying automotive training programs that meet or exceed industry standards. The presentation will focus on Level I Certification for high schools; what Level I is, the program requirements, the student outcomes and the application process. There will also be a description of the history of the ATTS Program and the three levels of certification.

Also covered will be EETC certification for first year intro auto programs.

John Chocholak

Mr. Chocholak has taught Industrial Technology classes for over 36 years at the middle school, high school and community college level. He was one of the first teachers in California to complete technician Special Electronics Training (SET) from General Motors Corp. He believes that a fundamental understanding of basic electricity is now a key element in all areas of CTE.

George Hritze

California Automotive Teachers (CAT)
Mr. Hritze is the Executive Director of the California Automotive Teachers Association. He is also the National Rep for ATTS which is an industry certification program for public and private school automotive programs.
